Molded plant fiber packaging
Trays, bowls, cup lids and clamshells pressed from plant fibre replace foam and rigid plastic in food service and produce packaging.
Fibre packaging can be recycled with paper or composted. Buyers should ask for PFAS-free coatings: some early fibre bowls used PFAS chemicals for grease resistance, and several US states now restrict them in food packaging.
