About

We all know the problem. This site is about the solutions: the people, technologies, laws and research that are already cutting plastic pollution, gathered in one place so anyone can find them, learn from them and join in.

Why solutions

Pictures of plastic on beaches have made the problem impossible to ignore. What most people still lack is a clear view of what works. Clubs, schools, businesses and governments want to act, and they need to know which approaches have evidence behind them, who is already doing the work and how to get involved.

Who we are

This site is part of a network of environmental programmes connected to the Rotary Club of Newport Beach Global Service Committee, 100 Projects in 100 Countries and The Environmental Xperience at EarthX in Dallas.

How we choose and check entries

Every entry links to the organization, the law or the original study, so you can verify it.
We describe what a solution does and how mature it is, and we flag technologies whose benefits are disputed.
Listing an organization is not an endorsement, and no one pays to be listed.
We review entries regularly and correct mistakes as soon as we learn of them.
