Founded by eco warrior Jana Koebel: a plastic-free living and travel hub, plastic-free consulting for hotels, and on-the-ground recycling projects with One Earth One Ocean in Bocas del Toro, Panama.
Jana Koebel founded Seas & Straws in 2018 while volunteering with a marine conservation organization in Mauritius. It began as a blog and is now an educational hub of more than 160 pages on plastic, zero waste alternatives and sustainable travel, with free fact sheets and a weekly planner for going plastic-free.
Jana is an accredited plastic-free consultant, trained with Oceanic Global in 2022, who advises hotels and coaches individuals. With One Earth One Ocean and the Bocas Recycle Center she is setting up a recycling structure in Bocas del Toro, Panama, starting with marine debris removal. She works with the Rotary Club of Newport Beach on plastic-free projects.
